Great job, very happy with the We are thrilled with the work you did to put our very old films and our never viewed yellow Kodak boxes of film from 40 years ago onto discs. We hadn't realized how wonderful it would be to see our family history, and now we know! I'm glad I paid a bit extra to upgrade the quality of these old items. My Grandparents had 8mm films that I had transferred to dvd. Scott came to my home and explained in detail the process. When completed, he actually came to my job to deliver. I was surprised what a great job they did. So after some tears and laughs seeing 50 years of film, I have something to share with my children and grandchildren. I would and have recommended to everyone, worth every penny.

Families going through "treasures" when moving can be a huge undertaking, and ours was no exception. I inherited hundreds of feet of 8 mm film from my father. It was a mess, splices broken, film dirty, etc. Legacy Digital through Scott Foster took everything and arranged it as I wished, providing me with both DVDs and .mp4 files for my own video editing. The service is superb. If you have lifelong memories on film, do yourself a favor -- don't take them to cheapo outfits where you will get washed out, mismatched results. Use these people. Generations to come will view your digital files and Legacy Digital can make the results of the highest quality. They are very pleasant folks and produce a great product. Legacy Digital transferred my entire collection of family 8mm films, 4000+ feet on 60+ reels to HD video on an external hard drive. Scott and his staff were responsive throughout the entire process from providing me with an estimate, letting me know when they received my films (I'm on the east coast), and when the job was completed. The final product was amazing! Additionally, all of the films were returned on their original reels. The price of Legacy Digital was well worth it. I just has an old VHS of our ship's decommissioning given to me and I had no idea what to do with it. Legacy took care of that (DVD and MP4) and were very friendly and professional. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

The need to preserve them and to be able to easily share them with other family members. After researching several [alleged] companies, Legacy Digital was the only one whom I was convinced would take the best possible care with my irreplaceable films. Absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! Scott and Legacy Digital did an amazing job of converting 4,000+ feet of 1960's 8mm film on 45+ separate reels to Blu-ray DVD and an external hard drive. I'm only part of the way through the first of 3 DVD's and just what I've seen already is worth more than what I paid. I researched digital conversion services thoroughly before deciding to use Legacy Digital and they exceeded my high expectations. Great communication throughout the process with no surprises (other than how amazing these movies that I haven't seen in 40 years turned out). Thanks!

Scott is absolutely amazing! Extremely professional results and service. Don't waste your time with those cheap services at places like Costco where they send your film and old reels out possibly getting lost in the process. Lifetime memories should be entrusted with someone like Scott. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Highly recommend Legacy Digital Productions, they were very good at follow up and communication regarding our order. Everything was processed and shipped promptly. Blank areas on the VHS tapes were edited out, a service not done by many digital transfer companies. A friend who is very tech knowledgeable was impressed by the quality of the files created and stored on the thumb drive. Fantastic quality, service, and price. My old family 8 mm movies that were transferred look great. Some of them are from the 50s. I ordered Blu-rays and simply provided an external hard drive for computer files that can be copied and edited. With the files its easy to capture stills and snippets of a moment in time. Some of the other transfer companies don't provide editable computer files. Highly recommended.

Very satisfied, but you have to be patient. I had 1700 feet of old (1950 - 70's) 8mm and Super8 film digitized. Converted to both SD and HD formats onto a disk drive that I supplied, so files are quite large (20GB for 8" reel - 400'). But the higher resolution (than DVD using mpg2 compression) is better for my purpose of video editing. HD is 1920x1080, but of course the image is still the original 4 x 3 aspect ratio (which makes the picture part 1440 x 1080) so as expected there are black bars on either side -- but resolution is as good or better than the film (some sites estimate 8mm film resolution to be around 800 by 600). It took about 7 weeks (they said 6 to 8 weeks), so be prepared to deal with that turn-around time. But quality was superb -- with the knowledge that film stock does degrade/fade over the years. But the video files that they produced was what was on the film, and in fact is _better_ than what I'd seen before with a projector, because now the lighting is consistent and doesn't fade or blur towards the corners.

I enjoyed my conversion with Carter today at the Carlsbad Village Faire. I told him how pleased I was with your work for me on the 16mm film conversion and the slide conversion. Any people passing by at the time I was near your booth, I extolled the excellence of your service. Any time I ever get the opportunity to do so, I always highly recommend your company. It is always a pleasure to be able to honestly recommend products or services which I have found to be truly excellent.

Fantastic job of X-ferring my old 8mm and Super 8 sound reels. Picture quality was greatly improved with the right amount of color, light, and darkness. Just a beautiful job and it's like visiting my family once again. Easy to recommend. Pricing also was very fair.

This is long overdue... I just have to say "Thank You" Carter and the team at Legacy. My mother passed last year and I had about 5,000 feet of 8mm film. I've dabbled in video and then multimedia myself since High School and figured I'd get to it someday. Well, when my mom passed it was time to get after it. Rather than tackle the job myself I entrusted the folks at Legacy to handle some cherished film that was 50+ years old. It was a little of a rush job, but Carter worked on it and had it ready for me sooner then promised. It was all on a external drive I purchased (at his recommendation) and my boxes of film were returned to me, spliced, labeled and in excellent condition. The digitized files exceeded my greatest expectations. The end result is better than the original film itself. HD, color corrected, no flicker and perfect frame rates. I cannot say enough about how great my experience was with Legacy. I highly recommend their services to anyone considering film conversion. Absolutely fantastic!

I had a great time working with Scott, saving about 30 reels of film from my girls' childhood that they can now show to their kids. He was extremely responsive and very professional, the price was right, and he was even so kind as to get the digitized collection back to us before Mother's Day!
