My entire family wants to thank you for bringing the reel to reels back to life on DVD. Although the tapes were old, the color and content were of the highest quality. Many family members lost photos in the California fires, so you can imagine the joy when they saw themselves on DVD. I highly recommend your trustworthy service to anyone wanting to preserve memories from reel to reel tapes.

I inherited hundreds of feet of 8 mm film from my father. It was a mess, splices broken, film dirty, etc. Legacy Digital through Scott Foster took everything and arranged it as I wished, providing me with both DVDs and .mp4 files for my own video editing. The service is superb. If you have lifelong memories on film, do yourself a favor -- don't take them to cheapo outfits where you will get washed out, mismatched results. Use these people. Generations to come will view your digital files and Legacy Digital can make the results of the highest quality. They are very pleasant folks and produce a great product. My highest recommendations to them from all of my family now enjoying the results.

At the fair i happened to stumble onto this great company after literally spending months trying to find a good company to convert my grand dad's old films and vhs. Low and behold, they talk me through their quality and practice, and I'm hooked! Because of the number i sent it took a short while, but the quality and price was amazing! They even fixed and cleaned up the films! This is by far the best digitized company around!

The team at Legacy Digital Productions not only converted our old family films to digital media, but they also returned the film reels to us in better condition than when they were provided to them. Some of our film was brittle and breaking. They actually reconditioned the film so I think the originals will last even longer. But we don't need them because the picture quality from the transfers are amazing. Thank you so much for helping persevere these precious memories.

I am a video professional but was wondering if legacy digital could do a better transfer job than I could. Yes they can! These folks are great! audio and video quality was superb and the effort put toward transcribing the chicken scratch on the original tapes onto the new file names was awesome! my order consisted of 8 mm and hi 8 millimeter video that I was having trouble digitizing on my systems. super easy to work with. Fantastic quality, service, and price. My old family 8 mm movies that were transferred look great. Some of them are from the 50s. I ordered Blu-rays and simply provided an external hard drive for computer files that can be copied and edited. With the files its easy to capture stills and snippets of a moment in time. Some of the other transfer companies don't provide editable computer files. Highly recommended.

After trying two other digital transfer services for my home movies, I found success on the third try. Thank you for doing an excellent job with my old movies. This took longer, but the result was far better than I received elsewhere. I will use your service again in the future.

Thanks to Scott I now have all of my mom and dad's 8 mm film from the 50' and 60's preserved on hard drive. It's such a pleasure dealing with a real person one on one let alone the owner of the company vs. a Costco or big box store. The quality of the conversion from film to hard drive is excellent and now I can play the movies on a flat screen TV. What impressed me most is that Scott will take time to explaining the process he uses and how it differs from other companies. As far as the pricing what are your once in a life time memories worth from 60 years ago. You can always pay more and get less as well as paying less and getting what you paid for. I feel I received Hollywood quality at a reasonable and fair rate.

Legacy Digital did an excellent job transferring all of my 8mm and 16mm film (total 7800 ft.) to my hard drive. The job was done professionally and on time. Scott did an great job explaining the procedure and seems very passionate about his work. I highly recommend Legacy Digital for all your transfer needs. Families going through "treasures" when moving can be a huge undertaking, and ours was no exception. Upon finding some 8mm of my wife's grandparents, Legacy Digital did an outstanding job of saving these "treasures!" The quality was unbelievable, and the difference between "C***co vs. Legacy was clearly defined, and most importantly, substantiated! Now, Legacy is working on MY Family's 8mm, and should not expect anything else. The need to preserve them and to be able to easily share them with other family members. After researching several [alleged] companies, Legacy Digital was the only one whom I was convinced would take the best possible care with my irreplaceable films. Absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! Scott and Legacy Digital did an amazing job of converting 4,000+ feet of 1960's 8mm film on 45+ separate reels to Blu-ray DVD and an external hard drive. I'm only part of the way through the first of 3 DVD's and just what I've seen already is worth more than what I paid. I researched digital conversion services thoroughly before deciding to use Legacy Digital and they exceeded my high expectations. Excellent service and price - would strongly recommend. Converted almost 1500 slides to digital and they not only did the job quickly but did excellent work.

I just got my latest film transfers back from Legacy Digital, and I had to say WOW. I am totally amazed. I received some old 16mm films from my brother in law, that belonged to his Dad, and they were stored in the garage, some of them outside of a film can, some dusty and dirty. They are old WWII news reals, and other films. The edges were curing, and some of them smelled like vinegar, and I wasn't sure if they would be able to be transferred, so I called Scott at Legacy Digital to come take a look and see what he could do. They had done a great job on my super 8 films, and so I thought I would give it a try. He looked at them and said that they should be able to copy them. When I got them back, I was totally amazed. They were very clean and clear, one even had sound, which was a surprise to me, and some of them were also in color from back in the 40s. I am extremely happy with the work that was done, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. They come and pick up the files, and then deliver them, so you don't have to worry about them getting lost in the mail, and the quality is amazing. I requested 1080P frame by frame scans with a digital copy saved on an external hard disk. Thanks again Legacy Digital.

Legacy Digital transferred my entire collection of family 8mm films, 4000+ feet on 60+ reels to HD video on an external hard drive. Scott and his staff were responsive throughout the entire process from providing me with an estimate, letting me know when they received my films (I'm on the east coast), and when the job was completed. The final product was amazing! Additionally, all of the films were returned on their original reels. The price of Legacy Digital was well worth it. Fantastic job of X-ferring my old 8mm and Super 8 sound reels. Picture quality was greatly improved with the right amount of color, light, and darkness. Just a beautiful job and it's like visiting my family once again. Easy to recommend. Pricing also was very fair.

The guys at Legacy Digital are awesome!! I've had them work on about three different projects for me over the last 7 years, and the work had been top notch on all three services. The first: we found some very old 8mm reels of my dad and my grandfather. When I found them, I recognized what I thought they were, but I didn't even have a machine to play them on. I'd heard that Legacy did a great job with direct transfer (not recapturing on a screen) and color correction. Boy was I thrilled with the result!!! These movies were better (more brilliant in color) that what I remembered and it was amazing to see it all on a nice large HD TV instead of on an old grey 8mm screen, with a projector whirring loudly in the background. He offered me options to have it directly on a hard drive if I wanted to edit, onto a DVD, or bluray disc. We opted for the DVD since it worked on more of our players at the time. He uses a higher quality DVD than other outfits so we should be able to keep and enjoy these old films for a long time. The second: several years later, we came upon an entire box of slides in our attic some time ago, and I kind of held on to them for a while, trying to decide whether to transfer them to digital. I was SOOO glad I did! There were some absolute treasures in there. Pictures that brought back all kinds of memories and even some pictures I don't remember, but was able to recognize folks I hadn't seen in a long time, again because of the great quality of transfer. The third: not long after (about 4 months ago) we found the rest of the family's old Super 8 movies. I found the projector as well, but by this time I was already convinced that if I tried to play these old movies on an old projector without cleaning them and without knowing if the projector still worked...I might ruin the film. Scott had showed me before how they clean and lubricate the reels BEFORE doing the transfer, so I had them take this batch as well. Got them back, and watched them several times with popcorn. What a great family night activity!! They did everything I could have asked for and more. I give them my unqualified recommendation!!

Legacy Digital did a fabulous job of getting our old family films and slides on dvd for my parents' anniversary. The quality was amazing and my parents were so surprised. Scott was so helpful picking up and delivering our order saving us time and gas money and keeping our fAmily treasures safe from the mail. I definitely would recommend them to anyone and in fact am calling them again to do all of our vhs tapes and camcorder tapes next.

My friends and family and I made some backyard Super 8 monster movies back in the 1980s. They were a lot of fun, and we remember them fondly. When the time came, I turned to Legacy Digital to handle the transfer. I knew Legacy was using a reliable scanner that handles film gently. I also knew that the owners and staff are actually just as knowledgeable about small gauge film as they are about the latest digital technology. They know and love the old stuff and the new stuff. Scott, the owner, made himself available to me anytime I had a question, and was very good about communicating the process to me. With my particular films, it was a voyage of discovery for all of us, believe me. The results are absolutely super. The staff at Legacy Digital really went above and beyond the call of duty to stabilize and color correct my particular 30-year-old footage. And it's obvious that my camera original Super 8 movie film, still every bit as precious to me even after digitizing, has been handled with gentle and respectful hands. That means a lot. When it comes to transferring your home movies, there are other options out there. Some are shady operators who may damage your film. Others are real professionals, but the ones I have in mind cater to the professional filmmaker and command high prices. If you want dynamite, professional results at a reasonable price, in my view, you need look no further. Legacy Digital is your first and only stop.
