Fantastic job of X-ferring my old 8mm and Super 8 sound reels. Picture quality was greatly improved with the right amount of color, light, and darkness. Just a beautiful job and it's like visiting my family once again. Easy to recommend. Pricing also was very fair.

Legacy Digital transferred my entire collection of family 8mm films, 4000+ feet on 60+ reels to HD video on an external hard drive. Scott and his staff were responsive throughout the entire process from providing me with an estimate, letting me know when they received my films (I'm on the east coast), and when the job was completed. The final product was amazing! Additionally, all of the films were returned on their original reels. The price of Legacy Digital was well worth it. I just has an old VHS of our ship's decommissioning given to me and I had no idea what to do with it. Legacy took care of that (DVD and MP4) and were very friendly and professional. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

I had a lot of 8mm tapes I needed converted before they got the chance to deteriorate. After searching and searching I contacted Legacy Digital Productions. After a lot of hesitation and fear of losing tapes, I convinced my mom to finally have these tapes converted with assurance from Scott. Scott drove out to my house to personally pick up the 20+ tapes. When they were ready, Scott delivered them safely back. It's a truly priceless feeling to see your old memories played back. I inherited hundreds of feet of 8 mm film from my father. It was a mess, splices broken, film dirty, etc. Legacy Digital through Scott Foster took everything and arranged it as I wished, providing me with both DVDs and .mp4 files for my own video editing. The service is superb. If you have lifelong memories on film, do yourself a favor -- don't take them to cheapo outfits where you will get washed out, mismatched results. Use these people. I just got my latest film transfers back from Legacy Digital, and I had to say WOW. I am totally amazed. I received some old 16mm films from my brother in law, that belonged to his Dad, and they were stored in the garage, some of them outside of a film can, some dusty and dirty. They are old WWII news reals, and other films. The edges were curing, and some of them smelled like vinegar, and I wasn't sure if they would be able to be transferred, so I called Scott at Legacy Digital to come take a look and see what he could do. They had done a great job on my super 8 films, and so I thought I would give it a try. He looked at them and said that they should be able to copy them. When I got them back, I was totally amazed. They were very clean and clear, one even had sound, which was a surprise to me, and some of them were also in color from back in the 40s. I am extremely happy with the work that was done, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. They come and pick up the files, and then deliver them, so you don't have to worry about them getting lost in the mail, and the quality is amazing. I requested 1080P frame by frame scans with a digital copy saved on an external hard disk. Thanks again Legacy Digital.

Legacy Digital did an excellent job! I had about 30 reels of very old movie film, some over 60 years old without sound that ran on an old projector. The projector no longer worked so I couldn’t watch. I decided to take the reels to Legacy Digital, and they put everything on a flash drive. Now I can watch on my computer! It was done quickly and for a reasonable price. Thanks!

Legacy did a great job transferring a 400 foot reel of 16mm color movie film from 1943-1945. The quality was much higher than I expected, given that the films had been (improperly) stored and unused for about 50 years. I will be using Legacy to transfer more of these family treasures in the near future.

Legacy Digital did an excellent job transferring all of my 8mm and 16mm film (total 7800 ft.) to my hard drive. The job was done professionally and on time. Scott did an great job explaining the procedure and seems very passionate about his work. I highly recommend Legacy Digital for all your transfer needs. Thanks to Scott and his staff my grandkids can now easily view and enjoy their family relatives dating back to the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. Great fun to watch and listen to their reaction!

The need to preserve them and to be able to easily share them with other family members. After researching several [alleged] companies, Legacy Digital was the only one whom I was convinced would take the best possible care with my irreplaceable films. Absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! They delivered on every promise they made and the results were better than I dared hope.

Very satisfied, but you have to be patient. I had 1700 feet of old (1950 - 70's) 8mm and Super8 film digitized. Converted to both SD and HD formats onto a disk drive that I supplied, so files are quite large (20GB for 8" reel - 400'). But the higher resolution (than DVD using mpg2 compression) is better for my purpose of video editing. HD is 1920x1080, but of course the image is still the original 4 x 3 aspect ratio (which makes the picture part 1440 x 1080) so as expected there are black bars on either side -- but resolution is as good or better than the film (some sites estimate 8mm film resolution to be around 800 by 600). It took about 7 weeks (they said 6 to 8 weeks), so be prepared to deal with that turn-around time. But quality was superb -- with the knowledge that film stock does degrade/fade over the years. But the video files that they produced was what was on the film, and in fact is _better_ than what I'd seen before with a projector, because now the lighting is consistent and doesn't fade or blur towards the corners.

Highly recommend Legacy Digital Productions, they were very good at follow up and communication regarding our order. Everything was processed and shipped promptly. Blank areas on the VHS tapes were edited out, a service not done by many digital transfer companies. A friend who is very tech knowledgeable was impressed by the quality of the files created and stored on the thumb drive. We are enjoying being able to once again see special times enjoyed with family and friends. Thank you, Legacy Digital Productions!
