Legacy Digital transferred my entire collection of family 8mm films, 4000+ feet on 60+ reels to HD video on an external hard drive. Scott and his staff were responsive throughout the entire process from providing me with an estimate, letting me know when they received my films (I'm on the east coast), and when the job was completed. The final product was amazing! Additionally, all of the films were returned on their original reels. The price of Legacy Digital was well worth it. Thank you Scott for helping me maintain my family history!

At the fair i happened to stumble onto this great company after literally spending months trying to find a good company to convert my grand dad's old films and vhs. Low and behold, they talk me through their quality and practice, and I'm hooked! Because of the number i sent it took a short while, but the quality and price was amazing! They even fixed and cleaned up the films! This is by far the best digitized company around!

Families going through "treasures" when moving can be a huge undertaking, and ours was no exception. Upon finding some 8mm of my wife's grandparents, Legacy Digital did an outstanding job of saving these "treasures!" Scott and Legacy Digital did an amazing job of converting 4,000+ feet of 1960's 8mm film on 45+ separate reels to Blu-ray DVD and an external hard drive. I'm only part of the way through the first of 3 DVD's and just what I've seen already is worth more than what I paid. Fantastic, is the word I would use. My parents had taken 8mm movies of the family back in 1957 thru 1972. Had all the families, both sides, and friends, in most of the movies. Some of these old movies were 60 years old. Many hours of family movies, the old days. Scott, who I spoke to, the owner of Legacy Digital, assured me customer satisfaction was his goal. He spent some time explaining the process to digitize the film. Really, when was the last time you spoke to the owner of a business, on his cell phone. Long story short, the results of the film to digital were fantastic. The film is cleaned before the transfer begins. I showed my 90 year old aunt some of the film, she had tears in her eyes. She was about 28 years old when some were taken. She saw her dad who died in 1960, saw her son, died in 1986. If you have old or new film that needs transfer to digital, go with the best, Legacy Digital. Scott and his staff will take the time to transfer it correctly and to your satisfaction.

My friends and family and I made some backyard Super 8 monster movies back in the 1980s. They were a lot of fun, and we remember them fondly. When the time came, I turned to Legacy Digital to handle the transfer. I knew Legacy was using a reliable scanner that handles film gently. I also knew that the owners and staff are actually just as knowledgeable about small gauge film as they are about the latest digital technology. They know and love the old stuff and the new stuff. Scott, the owner, made himself available to me anytime I had a question, and was very good about communicating the process to me. With my particular films, it was a voyage of discovery for all of us, believe me. The results are absolutely super. The staff at Legacy Digital really went above and beyond the call of duty to stabilize and color correct my particular 30-year-old footage. And it's obvious that my camera original Super 8 movie film, still every bit as precious to me even after digitizing, has been handled with gentle and respectful hands. That means a lot. When it comes to transferring your home movies, there are other options out there. Some are shady operators who may damage your film. Others are real professionals, but the ones I have in mind cater to the professional filmmaker and command high prices. If you want dynamite, professional results at a reasonable price, in my view, you need look no further. Legacy Digital is your first and only stop.

Don't waste your time with those cheap services at places like Costco where they send your film and old reels out possibly getting lost in the process. The team at Legacy Digital Productions not only converted our old family films to digital media, but they also returned the film reels to us in better condition than when they were provided to them. Some of our film was brittle and breaking. They actually reconditioned the film so I think the originals will last even longer. But we don't need them because the picture quality from the transfers are amazing. Thank you so much for helping persevere these precious memories.

Legacy did a great job transferring a 400 foot reel of 16mm color movie film from 1943-1945. The quality was much higher than I expected, given that the films had been (improperly) stored and unused for about 50 years. I will be using Legacy to transfer more of these family treasures in the near future.

I inherited hundreds of feet of 8 mm film from my father. It was a mess, splices broken, film dirty, etc. Legacy Digital through Scott Foster took everything and arranged it as I wished, providing me with both DVDs and .mp4 files for my own video editing. The service is superb. If you have lifelong memories on film, do yourself a favor -- don't take them to cheapo outfits where you will get washed out, mismatched results. Use these people. Generations to come will view your digital files and Legacy Digital can make the results of the highest quality. They are very pleasant folks and produce a great product. My highest recommendations to them from all of my family now enjoying the results.

I am a video professional but was wondering if legacy digital could do a better transfer job than I could. Yes they can! These folks are great! audio and video quality was superb and the effort put toward transcribing the chicken scratch on the original tapes onto the new file names was awesome! my order consisted of 8 mm and hi 8 millimeter video that I was having trouble digitizing on my systems. super easy to work with.
